January 2025
Happy New Year 😀
We hope the festive season has been rewarding restful and regenerative, with happy times planned for 2025.
❄️ Weather Trouble ❄️
At Muckle, we’re pleased to leave the December weather behind us! From balmy to stormy, our weekend events kept us on our toes.
The flexibility of the Farmers Market community was amazing with three of our regular outside markets changed but not cancelled.
Barnard Castle Farmers Market avoided the storm by relocating to the Mart where we each had a pen to trade from, and were delighted to see the locals who went out of their way to come and support us. Another storm affected our final markets of the year when both Brampton and Hexham Farmers Markets had to cope with beyond-gazebo-strength gusts and we all traded from our vehicles.
Muckle Trip Out
Our Muckle trip for December had to wait until the 31st – though yet another storm then delayed us by a day and we set off to Keswick on New Years Day for a couple of nights in the campervan (brewery dray by day!). The scenery was spectacular and the nights warm with the support of two heaters!
📅 2025 Update 📅
January 2025 brings a new wall chart to complete with plans for the year, with brewery deep clean the first entry.
We are delighted to be returning on a regular basis to Jesmond Food Market however the alcohol licensing will mean we can only attend on the third Saturday of each month, from February.
Brewing will start again with Stanegate IPA being the first of the Muckles to be brewed. Stocks are low in the cold store so the round of brewing, fermenting, bottling, bottle conditioning then labelling will continue all year.
We look forward to keeping you updated of our news as we move into the 9th year for Muckle Brewing.
